Clay Co. Man Arrested, Charged with Animal Cruelty
CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – A Clay County man was arrested
over the weekend and charged with animal cruelty. Stephen Maranville was arrested after police said he shot and killed
his neighbor’s dog. They said Maranville said his dog got into a fight
with his neighbor’s dog, so he went inside his house, got a gun then
went to the neighbor’s yard and shot the dog, which was chained to a
shed in the backyard. Maranville is being charged with armed trespass and cruelty to
animals.
