ROXY

In November,2009, Roxy was dumped at shelter in Zanesville with a litter of puppies.  One of the shelter's volunteers stepping up to care for the family until the puppies were ready to be weaned from mom and adopted out.

Roxy was a wonderful mother and took great care of her pups.  She was gentle and loving and taught them how to behave.  She allowed her caregivers to play with and handle her pups and just sat back quietly enjoying the sight.  Once the pups were ready to leave mom, the shelter adopted them out.  Unfortunately, for Roxy, she's a pit bull and too old to be cute enough to be adopted out by the horrible shelter so now the shelter wants to euthanize her if the caregiver does not find a rescue quickly.  Because we do not have an open space in our rescue, we offered to list this sweet girl in the hopes someone will come forward for Roxy.

Roxy is a bright sunny girl who loves attention. She is very energetic and loves to play with the other dogs in the household. Her favorite things to do include playing ball, playing with other dogs, and she absolutely loves to chase a flashlight beam!

Roxy currently lives with three dogs and cats and is fantastic with all of them!  She knows basic obedience, is housetrained and crate trained.  Roxy is the best cuddler and constantly wants to be by your side. She loves, loves, loves people!!!

Roxy is healthy and has been spayed and is up to date with all of her shots.  Roxy just loves being a part of a family.  Please help her find her forever home before the shelter requires she be euthanized.  Please hurry!

If you are interested in adding Roxy to your family, please complete the online or pdf placement application.
