This workshop is taught by certified dog trainers. These trainers help For the Love of Pits accomplish our its goals and prove to the world our dogs are just dogs!
If your "pit bull" type dog is already basic obedience trained and is good on leash, take the next step and get your dog Canine Good Citizen® ("CGC") certified. The AKC's CGC program is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The CGC Program is a two-part program emphasizing responsible dog ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.
Pit bulls and pit bull owners are under a microscope these days and it's extremely important for pit bulls to be well-behaved in public. These classes will help prepare you and your dog for real world situations.
Prerequisites:
Dogs must have some basic obedience to start this class.
Dogs must know certain commands, including: "sit," "down," "stay"
and should know or you should be working on "come."
Before enrolling, please review the CGC evaluation items on the AKC website to determine if your dog is ready for this class:

**Please note: this workshop is not open to spectators, the press or anyone who has not enrolled and been approved to attend the class and who has not received prior approval from For the Love of Pits®.
Basic Rules:
Dog must be at least one year of age.
Dogs must have basic obedience training.
Dogs must always be leashed.
Dogs must be on a leash of 6 feet or less.
No dog introductions at class.
In certain circumstances, we will require a temperament test prior to admittance to our classes.

you need assistance obtaining vaccinations at a discounted rate,

*Payment is not refundable if you cancel
within 7 days before the first day of class.
**If you do not bring a copy of your dog's
vaccinations records to the first class or do not provide prior
to class, For the Love of Pits reserves the right to prohibit
you and your dog from participating in class until proof of
vaccinations is provided. No refunds are provided for lack
of proof of vaccinations.
