Our basic obedience classes are offered to those interested in better communicating with their pit bulls. You will learn humane training methods. The obedience classes will prepare owners and their dogs for our handling classes. Please be prepared to spend at least 15 minutes a day working with your dog. If you cannot commit to at least 15 minutes a day, please do not sign up for classes.
In this basic obedience class, you will learn how to teach your dog:
"Sit"
"Watch"
"Down"
"Stay"
Each session of basic obedience classes is 4 weeks.
**Please note: this class is not open to spectators, the press or anyone who has not enrolled and been approved to attend the class and who has not received prior approval from For the Love of Pits®.
Basic Rules:
Dog must be at least 6 months old.
Dogs must always be leashed.
No dog introductions at class.
Bring a zip lock bag or two of high value treats, such as hot
dogs, cheese, steak, chicken, etc.
In certain circumstances, we will require a behavior assessment prior to admittance to our classes.
CLASSES FILL UP QUICKLY AND THERE IS OFTEN A WAITLIST.

| 4. | Be prepared to bring proof that your dog has vaccinations to the first class.** (If you need assistance obtaining vaccinations at a discounted rate, please contact shana@fortheloveofpits.org) |

*Payment is not refundable if you cancel within 7 days before the first day of class. **If you do not bring a copy of your dog's vaccinations records to the first class or do not provide prior to class, For the Love of Pits reserves the right to prohibit you and your dog from participating in class until proof of vaccinations is provided. No refunds are provided for lack of proof of vaccinations.

Once we have received all items above, we will send you an email confirming your place in class or, if there is no longer room in class, we will reimburse you or offer you a space in our next class.
