Feeney

Feeney is sparkly, silly, very loving, and just LIVES for belly rubs and peanut butter Kongs!

She's energetic but not hyper, eager to please and extremely handler responsive. She is learning some basic obedience and picking it up very quickly. Overall she is fairly low-maintenance. I leave her out in my guest room when I'm not home and have had no problems with chewing, excessive barking, or "accidents".

Feeney has very pretty eyes, the color of brown sugar, and one has a little patch of blue. She has an unusual coat too: blue fawn piebald with just a touch of merle. She is compact and lean, with a smidgen of Bull Terrier in her profile.

Sweet Feeney was rescued in New Orleans in October '05 and was a favorite at Camp Katrina, where everyone loved to give her belly rubs.  Sadly, just when she thought she was safe, a series of unfortunate events left our beloved Feeney neglected and on the end of a chain. Happily, we were able to persuade her "owner" to let us have her back. She was in pretty bad shape - stage 3 heartworm, abscess in her ear, all kinds of icky. She's been treated for everything and has recovered fully. She's her vibrant, healthy self again.

This little sugar bear has been waiting patiently for a person or family of her very own. Could it be you?

The adoption fee for this darling little girl is $125.  Pre and post adoption home checks required.
