OMAHA, Neb. -- The Nebraska
Humane Society is looking for the person who shot a pit
bull in Omaha.
The dog was found in the street Wednesday afternoon near
22nd and S streets.
Animal control officers initially thought the dog was
hit by a car, but then determined the animal had a shot
gun wound in the rear leg, said Mark Langan with the
Nebraska Humane Society.
The dog bled to death on its way for emergency
treatment.
A cash reward of $1,000 is being offered for any
information in this case. If you have information call
the Nebraska Humane Society at (402) 444-7800.
