Do you want to stop
those uncontrollable food cravings and reduce your stress? ADOPT
JANIE! Yes, it's that easy. Research shows laughter has
amazing health benefits, including reducing stress and food cravings and
increasing pain thresholds, and we can tell you from first hand
experience that Janie has us laughing until we cry at
least once a day. She has an amazing sense of humor. Without any planning at all, she has us on the
floor laughing.
Janie is the rescue's favorite!
She embodies the amazing characteristics of the pit bull. She has an amazing
temperament, absolutely loves all people, is comical in everything she
does, is extraordinarily intelligent and puts her heart and soul into
everything - even if it's just laying around.
Janie is very petite
and stocky,
weighing only 45 pounds. She looks like she's been lifting weights
for years but she's one of the lucky ones with a perfect physique
without all the work!

Janie is a very
social gal! She absolutely loves everyone and doesn't distinguish
between her family and strangers. She loves giving kisses and is very
affectionate.
We've
noticed that she loves, loves, loves children and will shower them with
kisses the first chance she gets. Janie is a true ambassador and
changes the minds of all the naysayers. Janie has an amazing talent of
luring people in! She had her first Christmas with her fosters and the
entire family, guests and all, fell in love with her.
She’s a super easy dog: if you want to take a hike or a
long walk, she's your girl but if you're having a lazy day and just want
to lay in bed or watch movies all day, she’s happy with that too.
Janie has graduated from her obedience class and has moved on to
learning tricks. She knows sit, down, shake, roll over and is getting very good
at stay. She walks well on leash and is crate trained and housebroken. She loves
chasing tennis balls, chewing on her tire, as you can see from the picture below, and enjoys
her Merrick bones and Nylabones. She loves laying by
the fire in
the winter and (or lying on the vent) and enjoying the shade on a hot
day in the summer. She has a very tight, shiny coat but it's
not great
at keeping her warm so we have to put a sweatshirt on her for
walks in the snow!
Janie is up-to-date on vaccinations,
spayed and microchipped.
