As you can see from the pictures, Kennedy just loves his stuffed animals!!!!  They don't last long, though :)

Kennedy is approximately 3 years of age and weighs approximately 55 pounds.  He is full of life and has plenty of love to give!  He loves to cuddle and, if he can't be the center of your world at the moment, he's happy just being near you.  He enjoys people and loves being the talk of the party!

Kennedy is great on leash and walks at his caregiver's side!  He's so attentive on his walks that he has actually stumbled and tripped because he is so busy watching for cues from his caregiver.  It's amazing how much Kennedy wants feedback and direction from his caregiver!  What a great guy.

Kennedy seems to be making up for lost time.  He's always happy as evidenced by his huge smile that never leaves his face and his wagging back end.  He seems to enjoy everything as long as he's with his caregiver.  He wants to do everything right and looks for direction at all time.  He loves to run, loves swimming, being outdoors and car rides.  He enjoys his canine brother.  Kennedy is housebroken, crate trained, basic obedience trained, microchipped, UTD on vaccinations.

Kennedy's eyes will make you melt.  They are soulful and speak to whomever looks at him.  His caregiver indicated that when Kennedy looks in her direction, his eyes show such emotion, such sweetness and such a longing to be loved.  You will lose your breath at your first glance!

Kennedy will love his forever owners unconditionally and will do everything possible to make you happy.  We just need to find Kennedy owners who are willing to reciprocate.

Background:  Kennedy passed our behavior evaluation on Sunday, September 13, 2009 and officially became a For the Love of Pits' dog on Saturday, September 19, 2009.  Kennedy was in a cage at the shelter for over a year and a half.  He has a solid temperament and is exactly what an American Staffordshire terrier should be.  He's happy, affectionate, loving, fun, funny and has a spirit that is contagious.  He's amazing and we're excited to start working with him.  Kennedy deserves a forever home and we're grateful that our new caregiver stepped up to help us with Kennedy.
