This girl is one of the easiest dogs!!!!  She knows how to sit, how to shake and knows "down."  She walks well on a leash, she's housebroken and she's crate trained.  While we're eating, she goes and lays down and she listens to us when we tell her to do something-the first time!  She's amazing!

Renee is a very sweet dog!  She loves being close to people.  She just wants to be near you so if you're working in the yard or in the house, she'll sit or lie down and watch you until you're finished.  When you finally have time for her and you call her name, she's up and ready to be loved.  She loves to cuddle and be rubbed on her sides and back. She's very affectionate!

She has the well-known pit smile and her tail never stops wagging.   She is so happy when she's around people!

Renee also enjoys playing with other dogs and running around on hot, sunny days.  Her eyes shine when she's happy!

Background:  Approximately a year ago, Renee's owner died and no one in the family wanted her or her brother. As a result, both dogs ended up at the humane society.

Renee's brother was adopted but she remained at the humane society on death row. A few days before she was scheduled to be euthanized, we rescued her. She was very thin and very, very tired. It was obvious she had not had good sleep in a very long time.

We placed her in a boarding kennel and it was apparent she was not doing well so we found another rescue that had open foster homes.

Unfortunately, that rescue became extremely overwhelmed and is being charged with animal cruelty. As a result, all of the dogs were taken by animal control. We fought to get her back and now she's in a great foster home.

Renee is housebroken, crate trained, up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped.

Northeast Ohio Adoptions Only.  Home checks required. The adoption fee for Renee is $175.
